In July 2022, NEC Corporation acquired Aspire Technology, expanding our global reach. As a subsidiary of NEC, we offer specialized network services and software solutions to fixed and mobile operators, large enterprises, system integrators, and digital infrastructure providers. Our expertise spans all network domains and technologies, including Telco and IT Cloud. We deliver projects globally with an international team of experts and utilize our Open Lab in Europe, along with NEC Labs globally.

Yuichi Kusumoto, seconded from NEC Corporation from Japan, has been in telecom industry over 20 years, including technical background in mobile radio and cloud, as well as international experiences. In his current role as CEO, Yuichi Kusumoto is now responsible for the growth of Aspire in pursuit of “Perfecting Networks”, connecting the technical capability of Aspire to the global market.
Lars has been working in the telecommunications industry for over 20 years. In developing new business areas, he has focused on selling customised network solutions developed together with customers. In his current position, Lars is responsible for the continuous development of the company to support NEC’s growth in the global networking market.
Pedro graduated in Electrical Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico in Portugal and Aalborg University in Denmark. He has 20 years experience in the telecoms industry, having worked with Ericsson in various senior and executive roles in Research & Development, Operations and Sales across 4 continents. He has a long track record in industry and academia partnerships, having established in 2015 the 5G for Europe Program in collaboration with Kings College London and Technical University of Dresden, leading to considerable 5G advancements in research and use cases in the automotive, manufacturing and health industries.
In 2018 Pedro joined Aspire Technology in Portugal as Head of the Technical Solutions Group and is now Aspire’s Chief Commercial Officer responsible for the commercial success of the business.
Mary-Anne is an experienced human resources manager with a previous history of working as an engineer for leading mobile operators. This blend of high-level experience ensures Mary-Anne recognises, sources, and manages the talent needed to deliver world-class technology solutions.
With over 20 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, Antonino has held various technical and leadership roles at Ericsson and Three Italy, spanning from Engineering, Research & Development to Global Customer Support across 20 countries. Antonino has successfully led deployment teams for 3G, 4G, and VoLTE technologies with various Tier 1 operators throughout Europe. In 2013, he relocated to Dublin, Ireland, to join Aspire Technology as a 4G technical expert. He is currently the Chief Operations Officer at Aspire, where he oversees the operations team, ensures the successful delivery of commitments to clients, drives business growth, and supports the execution of the Company’s strategic initiatives.
